Registration Date 02-01-2025 Organization Ivan Franko National University of Lviv popup.description1 Study of various groups of microorganisms of Antarctic moss communities (Polytrichum strictum, Sanionia georgicouncinata, Warnstrofia fontinaliopsis, Pohlia nutans, Andreaea depresinervis, Chorisodontium aciphillum, Ceratodon purpureus) and Deschampsia antarctica, isolation of pure cultures and determination of their physiological and biochemical properties, ability to synthesis of biologically active substances and mobilization of phosphorus and ferrum compounds, nitrogen fixation and molecular genetic characteristic of strains, as well as determination of prooxidant and antioxidant indicators of separate strains of bacteria under the influence of heavy metal compounds. According to the results of the work, it is planned to deposit 2 strains of microorganisms in the Depository of microorganisms of the D. K. Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the NAS of Ukraine. popup.description2  The quantity of culturable microorganisms of different ecological trophic groups in the rhizosphere and terrestrial part of moss samples (Polytrichum strictum, Sanionia georgicouncinata, Warnstorfia fontinaliopsis, Pohlia nutans, Andreaea depresinervis, Chorisodontium aciphillum, Ceratodon purpureus, Sanionia sp., Andreaea sp., Bryum sp.) and Deschampsia antarctica E. Desv., selected on the Berthelot and Corner Islands of the maritime Antarctic during the 28th UAE, was studied. Pure cultures of microorganisms were isolated that are promising for biotechnological developments and research of adaptations to the influence of heavy metal compounds, capable of solubilizing phosphorus, zinc and iron compounds. Isolates Micrococcus sp. Pn45, Sporosarcina sp. Wf13, Sporosarcina sp. Cp72 and Staphylococcus sp. Wf139 were identified based on the results of studies of their morphological, cultural, physiological and biochemical characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of nucleotide sequences of the 16S rRNA gene. Nucleotide sequences of the 16S rRNA gene of the isolates Sporosarcina sp. Wf13 and Bacillus sp. RT1 have been registered in the GenBank database (GenBank accession numbers: PQ 473536 and PQ 473686). Two strains: Sporosarcina sp. Wf13 and Bacillus sp. RT1, deposited in the Depository of microorganisms of the D. K. Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the NAS of Ukraine. Certificates about deposition of 2 strains of microorganisms: Sporosarcina sp. IMV B-8127 and Bacillus sp. IMV B-8128, dated November 21, 2024, have been received. The strains are promising for use in the composition of microbial preparations to improve seed germination and stimulate plant growth. Product Description popup.authors Komplikevych Solomiia Ya.
