Typological features of complex multifunctional systems are identified, characteristics and peculiarities of ordering the main constituent elements and the logic of their connections, combination of functions in a single structure are defined. The article suggests options for ensuring the simultaneous functioning of zones of different orientation, harmonious coexistence of different functions, and creation of conditions for the integration of internal and external spaces. The regularities, methods and techniques of integrated design of residential and public components that are part of multifunctional complexes are developed. The main typological characteristics and aspects of the most optimal integrated organization of the space-planning and architectural-environmental characteristics of such objects are established. Proposals for the study of objects of the architectural environment are developed, methods of transition from consideration of general functional-planning and territorial-spatial aspects of the organization and placement of multifunctional complexes to the specific principles of their architectural solution are proposed. Certain methods of forming the basis of their functional planning and architectural organization in the structure of interior and exterior spaces have been developed. Recommendations, methods and approaches for the formation of a new and reform of the existing typology of multifunctional complexes in modern conditions are formulated.
