The project includes the development of catalysts based on Mg(Ca)-Al(Y, Ce)-oxide systems, zeolites of structural types of MFI, FER, BEA, etc., mesoporous molecular sieves, carbon materials via the controlled change of functional properties of the surface, e.g. by modification with compounds of d-elements, for the processes of conversion of C1,2,4 monoatomic alcohols and CO2 with diatomic and amino alcohols. Objects of research - the materials based on Mg-Al (Y, Ce) oxide systems, zeolites of MFI, FER, and BEA structural types, mesopore molecular sieves, carbon materials, as catalysts for the conversion of C1,2,4 monohydric alcohols and CO2 with amino alcohols. Research methods - a complex of physical and chemical methods for the study of catalysts and catalytic reactions: a kinetic one with chromatographic control, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDX, TPD of NH3/CO2, IRS (adsorption of probe molecules), etc. As part of the first stage of the project, the influence of the nature of additives of rare earth elements (Y, La, Ce) on physicochemical characteristics and catalytic properties of a Mg-Al oxide system in the process of vapor-phase condensation of ethanol with elongation of the carbon chain (in a flow mode at atmospheric pressure) is found out. Higher selectivity for the formation of butan-1-ol (up to 77%) is provided over the Mg-Al-Y-oxide catalyst due to the formation of acid and basic sites by partially embedding Y3+ cations into the Mg-Al-oxides crystal lattice. For the first time, ferumsilicate zeolites of a hierarchical structure with the morphology of nanosheets (Fe-MFI; Si/Fe = 27 ÷ 170) are established to be highly selective in the process of obtaining linear isomers of butene from 2-methylpropan-1-ol - up to 77%. It is shown that nano-sized cerium oxide is an effective catalyst for the liquid-phase process of obtaining cyclic carbamates from CO2 and amino alcohols, the yield of the target products reaches 84%.
