MUDSTONES, GEOTHERMOMETERS, METABASALTS, PLAGIOGNEISSES, ORE-BEARING, SERPENTINITES, TUFFS, CHLORITES. Object of study: Ore-bearing sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rock complexes of the western and central parts of Ukraine within the Pobuzka ore district of the Ukrainian Shield, Rakhiv-Chyvchyn complex of the Krosnenska and Skibova structural and facies zones of the Ukrainian Carpathians. The aim of the work is to study the structural and textural features and mineral composition of ultrabasic rocks of the West Lashchivsky massif of the Ukrainian Shield as potential carriers of silicate cobalt-nickel mineralization. To find out the temperature and facies conditions of the process of mineralization of secondary minerals of ore-bearing metabasalts of the Rakhiv-Chyvchyn magmatic complex of the Ukrainian Carpathians. To clarify the paleogeodynamic features of the Carpathian sedimentation basin based on the results of studying the material composition of Upper Cretaceous-Lower Eocene background mudstones (which are, in particular, part of the variegated horizons). Research methods: petrological, mineralogical, geochemical. Results. Petrographic studies of the ultrabasites of the Zakhidno-Lashchivskyi massif have shown that apoperidotite (apolerzolite, apogarzburgite) serpentinites, orthopyroxenites and olivine pyroxenites, garzburgites, lerzolites, and clinopyroxenites are common among these rocks. Apoperidotite serpentinites are almost entirely composed of serpentine (about 99%) and contain ore minerals and iron oxides. Typical serpentinites of the Zakhidno-Lashchivskyi massif contain serpentine, pyroxenes, and calcite; ore minerals are represented by magnetite and chromite. It was found that the volcanites of the Rakhiv-Chyvchyn magmatic complex are dominated by metabasalts. Product Description popup.authors Bilyk Nataliia T. Borniak Uliana I. Kostiuk Oleksandr V.
