The necessity for a systematic investigation into the causes, directions, and forms of change in the lexical composition of the language stems from the dynamic nature of language in general and the lexicon in particular. As part of the research project, the scientific literature on the topic was thoroughly examined, resulting in the compilation of a comprehensive reference list comprising 332 theoretical works and 62 dictionaries.The research project also involved the creation of an electronic database of neosemantisms and their derivatives, derived from diverse contexts of lexeme usage in texts of varying styles and genres of the Ukrainian language from the early twenty-first century. This database encompasses 1,001 units and approximately 5,000 selected examples. In total, 248 sources of illustrative material and data from 2 corpora of texts were processed. The monograph, which is 338 pages in length (15.4 a.a.), is composed of a preface, four chapters (20 subsections), an afterword, lists of references, lexicographical works and sources of illustrative material, and appendices with glossary materials. The macro- and microstructure of the electronic dictionary of neosemantisms and their derivatives was developed and compiled on a special open-source platform for writing and publishing dictionaries 'Lexonomy'. The results of the work have expanded the register of modern neological and explanatory dictionaries, and the monograph, the electronic card index and corpus of neosemantisms, and the electronic dictionary as a computer lexicographic system will be useful for further study of the role of internal resources of the Ukrainian language in the early twenty-first century.
