The components of military identity are culture, attitudes, values, and motivation. Military identity contributes to the strengthening of collectivism, patriotism, and altruistic values that are relevant during military operations. A methodology for diagnosing military identity in high school students has been developed, which consists of studying the level of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for children during wartime, value orientations (altruism, patriotism, collectivism), resilience, and the ability to adapt to situations of uncertainty and conditions of chronic extremism. Based on the methodology of military identity diagnostics, an empirical model of students' military identity has been created, which contains such components as military experience in the family, relationships with others during the war (including with the military), beliefs and values regarding victory in the war, the armed forces of Ukraine, skills needed during the war, experience in overcoming traumatic events caused by the war, the student's attitude towards himself as a person who adapts to the conditions of war, materials in the media and social networks about the war that the student seeks and prefers. A program for the development of teachers' military identity has been developed, based on the formation of military self-efficacy of teachers during the war. The connection between military identity and students' traumatic experience has been proven. Development and implementation of measures aimed at forming a positive military identity of students and reducing the risks of secondary psychotraumatization in war conditions.
