Research methods: questionnaire; determination of biomarkers of chronic stress (dehydroepiandrosterone, prolactin, brain-derived neurotrophic factor, profile of markers of systemic inflammation and mitochondrial damage by sirtuin level by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, qualitative and quantitative composition of intestinal microbiota at the level of main phyla and butyrate metabolism (by the level of butyrate-producing bacteria) by real-time polymerase chain reaction. The main epigenetic factors that could potentially influence the course of NAFLD during the war were identified and assessed. The most significant manifestations were psychoemotional disorders in the form of astheno-neurotic and anxiety-depressive disorders, disturbances in the diet and quality of nutrition. In patients with NAFLD who were exposed to stress factors of the war period, a significant imbalance of the intestinal microbiota was observed, which was manifested by an increase in the content of Firmicutes and a decrease in the pool of Bacteroidetes. The association between the degree of disruption of the integrity of the epithelial intestinal barrier, state of intestinal microbiota and stress hormones in patients with NAFLD during wartime. Based on the data obtained, a set of preventive measures was developed aimed at inhibiting the development of inflammation and fibrosis processes in liver tissue in patients with NAFLD by correcting the microbiota and modifying the stress factors of wartime.
