For the period of 2024, the expediency of introducing into mass educational practice the methodology of teaching the Ukrainian language to students of 5-6 grades of general secondary education institutions with teaching in the languages of national minorities, which is based on interrelated teaching of languages and provides for the organization of optimal transformation of knowledge, abilities and skills from one language into another, as well as preventing and overcoming native language interference. In the lessons of the Ukrainian language as a state language, it is important to rely on the use of the comparative method, which helps to distinguish the features of each of the objects and to consolidate the students' knowledge, because during the comparison, there is a repetition of already acquired knowledge and their involvement in new connections. The results of the study were applied to the preparation of methodological recommendations for teachers, the content of which is aimed at improving the quality of learning Ukrainian as a second (state) language.
