Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine popup.description1 The purpose of the research is to develop the scientific and methodological foundations of constructing and modernizing virtual digital collections of electronic educational resources, studying and spreading the domestic and foreign experience of using digital collections of electronic educational resources popup.description2  At the second stage of the research, which is analytical and informational, the source base of the research was systematised and classified; it was found that in Ukraine, attempts to implement projects to create large-scale collections of electronic resources are not system-wide and therefore in most cases do not meet the needs of modern society. There is no centralised interaction and proper coordination of work on such projects. The problem of presenting collections of electronic resources as the main element of knowledge bases was comprehensively considered; the criteria for a holistic and logical presentation of trends in the digitalisation of education were clarified; part of the manuscript of the materials of the review publication ‘Digitalisation of Education and Science during the Russian-Ukrainian War and the Restoration of Ukraine’ was prepared; modern technologies for visualising digital educational resources and their collections were analysed and systematised; the freely available tools for creating digital educational resources were studied.
