The purpose of the work is to assess the state of diagnostics and treatment of cancer patients based on the analysis and forecasting of the development of the onco-epidemiological situation in Ukraine in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Research methods – evidence-based data from oncoepidemiological monitoring, descriptive epidemiology, descriptive mathematical statistics, and medical informatics. According to our research, the incidence rate of malignant neoplasms (MN) in the population of Ukraine over the decade to 2020 fluctuated insignificantly with an average annual increase of less than 1%. In 2021, the incidence rate in Ukraine as a whole increased by 6.0% compared to 2020, but was 13.3% lower than the pre-pandemic 2019. Monthly fluctuations in the incidence of MN in 2020 and 2021 coincide with the calendar of restrictions on the work of medical institutions due to the COVID 19 pandemic and are a consequence of limited access of patients to medical services. It should be noted that in 2022, the work of both healthcare institutions and the cancer registration system was affected by large-scale military operations in Ukraine. During 2022 In Ukraine, 26.8 thousand (22.3%) fewer detected diseases of the ND were registered than in 2021.After a sharp decrease in the incidence rate of all NDs in 2020, associated with the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine, in 2021 there was a statistically significant increase (p≤0.01), which according to the standardized indicator is 5.8% in the male population and 6.7% in the female populatiоn Product Description popup.authors Horokh Yevhenii L.
