The purpose of the work is to improve the operational properties of wheeled vehicles with promising power plants by choosing rational parameters of their design. The research methods included mathematical modeling of the movement of wheeled vehicles with promising power plants, multivariate calculations of indicators of their operational properties and working processes of components. A comparative assessment of the traction and speed properties of articulated buses with different power plants has been carried out. Analysis of modern electric energy storage devices allows you to choose a battery depending on the operating conditions of the electric vehicle. An analysis of various layout options and technical characteristics of light commercial vehicles popular in Ukraine was conducted, and the reasons for the deterioration of their traction and speed properties and fuel efficiency as a result of conversion under operating conditions were determined. On an improved stand, the change in vertical deformation of a 175/70 R 13 tire was determined depending on the vertical load at different values of internal pressure in it. Methods for reducing the external noise level of military armored vehicles by using a hemispherical muffler for exhaust gases of internal combustion engines were proposed.
