A separate area of research is the gender aspect. popup.description2 The novelty of the study is that the teachers of the Department of History of Ukraine conducted a comprehensivestudy of a wide range of historical issues in the context of regionalism; prepared for publication and published a number of publications on figures and events in the history of different regions, including Chernihiv-Siversk, (local history, archival studies, source studies), as well as on topical issues of theory and methodology of historical regionalism. The object of the research is to study the peculiarities of the development of the historical process in Ukraine in the context of local history. The main attention is paid to the peculiarities of the development of Chernihiv-Sivershchyna. The subject of the study is the characterisation of the political, economic, socio-ethnic and cultural development of Ukrainian lands and the impact of geopolitical factors on them. The purpose of the study is to systematise the historiography of regional history; to identify the most important historical events of the all-Ukrainian scalei; to study the peculiarities and trends of regional socio-cultural history. The research methodology is based on general scientific methods, in particular historical, logical and theoretical analysis and critical approach; methods of analysing various groups of sources (bibliographic, terminological), as well as systematic and typological methods were also used. In addition, the study uses an empirical method - the method of expeditionary research. The practical value of the research is to better acquaint the scientific community with important historical figures of the regions, as well as with key problems of history. The main provisions of the publications on the topic can be used to expand the list of cultural heritage sites that require preservation and protection, especially in the context of Russiа full-scale war against Ukraine; in the preparation of tourist maps; in the development of historica, works.
