The AQI index is determined by a piecewise linear function with transition points. When using several pollution factors, the AQI index is determined by the highest concentration among them. In order to increase the accuracy of air quality assessment, a fuzzy model was developed based on the measured concentration values ​​of three pollutants: particulate matter, ozone and nitrogen dioxide. The simulation was performed using MATLAB, in the Fuzzy Logic Tool Box module. A two-hundred-point scale was used for the initial estimates in the fuzzy model. The model creation process continues by writing fuzzy inference rules. For three inputs and three membership functions in each of them, the total number of fuzzy inference rules is 27.
