Registration Date 04-02-2025 Organization The National University of Ostroh Academy popup.description1 Conducting a study of the process of social and psychological rehabilitation of persons who participated in or suffered from the military actions, by forming metacognitive monitoring for identifying its effective components, their connections with the effectiveness of the process of psychological recovery and psychotherapy; studying the influence of the characteristics of personal qualities, cognitive, individual and psychological features on this process. popup.description2  During the second stage of the research project «Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Veterans and Individuals Affected by Military Actions through the Formation of Metacognitive Monitoring» (# 0123U101555), data materials were analyzed and processed, and methodological programs and techniques for obtaining results were refined. Based on a theoretical analysis of scientific literature and empirical research findings, it was concluded that prevention and professional intervention are crucial for stabilizing the mental state of internally displaced students (IDPs), particularly those exhibiting PTSD symptoms. Civil society institutions, as well as local, regional, and national authorities, play a significant role in this process of psychosocial adaptation and rehabilitation. Additionally, it was determined that educational institutions face the important task of integrating adapted and rehabilitated internally displaced students into full-fledged academic and extracurricular activities while creating a comfortable and emotionally supportive learning environment. Drawing on the experience of interacting with active military personnel, veterans, and their families, the authors propose adding a fourth component to Oláh’s structural model of psychological immunity—the spiritual and value-based subsystem. The inclusion of this component is driven by the distinct features of Ukrainian identity and the unique context of the Russo-Ukrainian war. This component encompasses the spiritual self, values of patriotism, moral qualities, and religiosity (as an intrinsic need for faith). The results of this stage have been summarized in four articles published in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, as well as five publications in domestic professional journals (Category B). A monograph section was published in a foreign language by an international publisher. Additionally, a textbook and methodological recommendations were published.
