The object of research is water supply and drainage systems; water intake and hydraulic structures; wastewater. The purpose of the work is to develop methods for wastewater treatment, protection of water intake structures from siltation, and hydraulic structures from wave loads. Research methods - theoretical research, process modeling, improvement of calculation methods. The paper evaluates the principles of the theory of ionic associations in the changes in the chemical composition of water in circulating cooling systems. Methods for use in assessing trends in the formation of deposits or corrosion in water systems are analyzed. The features of oil refining technology, the composition and properties of wastewater from oil refineries, and the impact of oil-containing wastewater on water bodies were studied. An analysis of the problems of operating water intakes with gravity pipes was conducted. Factors that influence silting of water intake elements were studied, and suggestions were made regarding the conditions of water movement in gravity pipelines. Prospects for improving aggregation processes in water purification technologies are shown. Research has been conducted into methods for using nanotechnology and biotechnology to create new methods for water purification with aggregation of impurities at the molecular level. Modern methods of modeling and analyzing the impact of waves on hydraulic structures are considered. The role of climate change in the formation of wave processes is analyzed and recommendations are provided for increasing the stability of hydraulic structures.
