For the first time in world practice, a paint and varnish coatings has been proposed with the introduction of iron-containing powders into its composition, obtained as a result of processing galvanic waste by the methods of hydrophase ferritization and electro-erosion dispersion. The composition of such coatings has been determined: film former Crylcoat 2618-3, β-hydroxyalkylamide, fillers - metakaolin, talc and iron-containing powders, obtained by processing waste from galvanic production. The most important characteristics of the obtained paint and varnish coatings were studied. The introduction of 15% of iron-containing material improves the mechanical properties of the coatings and provides an increase in the efficiency of shielding electromagnetic radiation more than three times compared to the sample without iron-containing filler. The corrosion resistance class of the specified paint and varnish systems corresponds to C4 (high) while ensuring the corresponding durability class (H) from 15 to 25 years. Based on the experimental data obtained, new technological scheme for the production of powder paint using water treatment waste processing products as fillers was developed and the technical and economic effect of its implementation was calculated.
