The purpose of the work is to develop principles for constructing power semiconductor converters with extended functionality and to create effective methods for their adaptive control to maintain specified power quality indicators at points of common connection of distributed generation sources. The work developed theories of instantaneous and integral powers of multiphase power supply systems by substantiating new formulas for determining active current, full power and minimum power losses, which consider the dependence on the ratio of transmission line resistances. Based on the proposed active filtering strategies, which outperform other known strategies in terms of power losses in the transmission line, a control system for a parallel active filter of a four-wire three-phase network was developed, which implements multivariate proportional-vector formation of instantaneous source currents with the ability to select one of twenty control algorithms. Methods for calculating reactive compensators as part of a hybrid active filter are proposed, which allow reducing the installed power of the semiconductor part of the filter by no less than 29%. Schemes for measuring and compensating inactive powers of three-phase power supply systems by means of parallel active filtering in network distributed generation systems have been developed. The results of experimental modeling have confirmed that the use of a parallel active filter increases the efficiency of the power supply system by 5-10% compared to a system without a filter, and the proposed control algorithm provides a unity power factor and minimal energy losses.   Product Description popup.authors Artemenko Mykhailo Y.
