The object of research is Ukrainian classical literature in the context of source studies and textology. The purpose of the work is to record the current state of development of textological and source studies, to introduce a new source base into modern Ukrainian literary studies, which will become the basis for a deeper study of the creative heritage of writers. Research methods – general scientific (analysis, synthesis, generalization) and philological research methods, in particular the use of textological, comparative-historical, typological, historical-biographical methods of literary studies. Results and their novelty: the manuscript (layout) of the third of the four planned volumes of “Scientific and Bibliographic Description of I. Franko” (50 standard printed sheets) was prepared for publication; a collection of scientific notes and publications of the Department of Manuscript Funds and Textology “Heritage: Literary Source Studies. Textology”, individual studies, descriptions of documents of permanent storage of personal archives stored in the Library were approved by the EPC. An insurance fund was created for the war period. Archival documents have been scientifically processed, researched, and prepared for publication, expanding the source base of academic publications of the Ukrainian classical heritage in the context of modern source studies and textology.
