Tests were carried out to determine the chemical, physical-mechanical, and thermomechanical properties of various types of refractories: chemical and grain composition, mass change during calcination, moisture content, water absorption, apparent and true density, open porosity, cold crushing strength, refractoriness, thermal conductivity, thermal expansion, refractoriness under load, temperature of the beginning of softening, temperature coefficient of linear expansion. Chemical analysis, physical-mechanical, and thermomechanical tests of refractories were performed using standard methods.
