The aim of the project is to develop environmentally friendly technologies for the rational use of lignite and peat resources in Ukraine, leading to the creation of technological production regulations (technological specifications for the design of a set of equipment) and samples of finished products (sorbents, high-quality modified bitumen, and new generation biodegradable polymeric materials).

3 peat samples were selected from deposits in the Lviv region and 3 samples of brown coal (BW) from the Mokrokalyhirsk brown coal section. Based on reference data, own research and calculations, a wide range of BW characteristics was established, and the classification of brown coal deposits in Ukraine was carried out in accordance with domestic and international standards. To be able to predict the yield of GC, a mathematical model was developed that describes the dependence of the content of humic acids on the physicochemical properties of brown coal. Based on the data obtained, a reference book was created and further directions for the use of BW in "green" technologies were substantiated.
