First, a conceptual analysis of the content of such concepts as “national interests of Ukraine” from a modern perspective, “information sovereignty”, “information security” was carried out, and their distinction was made; secondly, an analysis of the current state of regulatory and legal regulation and organizational principles for ensuring national interests in the field of information security of Ukraine was carried out in order to identify gaps, inconsistencies and other shortcomings that significantly reduce the mechanism for their protection; specific steps were developed and justified towards improving the existing mechanism for protecting the national interests of Ukraine in the field of information security.
