The purpose of the work is to create methods and tools for mathematical and computer modeling of the processes of functioning of computer-integrated systems as part of power plants for the study and provision of qualitative indicators of the specified class of systems, effective solution of problems of analysis, synthesis and construction of control means taking into account the limited information resources. The features of computer-integrated systems of various purposes as objects of modeling have been studied. It is shown that they may include a different set of sensor devices. Different algorithms for generating control effects are possible. There are reference and predictive models, to which the requirements for functioning in real and accelerated time modes, high reliability, and the possibility of synchronizing the current state of the model relative to a real operating object are put forward.
