Results of the study: The selection of single-seeded forms of fodder beet was carried out as a starting material for creating parental components of hybrids on a sterile basis. The general combining ability of fodder beet pollinators was assessed. The genetic value of the maternal component of the obtained sugar-fodder hybrids was determined by the characteristics of root crop yield and dry matter content.
