Special attention is given to analyzing the impact of decentralization, changes in the spatial organization of territories, and regional characteristics on the efficient use of the region's tourism potential. As a result of the study, key prospects for tourism development in the Western region of Ukraine have been identified, based on the unique natural, resource, and cultural-historical characteristics of the territory. An analysis of the current state of the tourism industry and its adaptation to the new administrative-territorial conditions has been conducted. Directions for improving the spatial organization of tourism activities, the development of geotourism and recreational routes, as well as mechanisms for enhancing the region’s competitiveness in the post-war period, have been proposed. The obtained results can be used to formulate regional tourism development strategies aimed at sustainable territorial development and integration into the European tourism space.
