Given the fact that Ukraine has chosen the European direction as a priority vector of its development, migration policy has become important for our country and has become a topical issue on the agenda in the context of the initiated European integration processes and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russia. The above factors fully demonstrate the expediency and urgent need for a thorough comprehensive analysis of the current state of the EU migration policy and the protection of the rights of migrant workers. Purpose and objectives of the study: to study in depth the strategy of formation, evolution and socio-economic consequences of the migration policy of the European Union and its member states in view of the current civilizational challenges of the time; to find out the peculiarities of the migration situation in the EU countries under the influence of domestic and foreign economic and political factors; to identify in the European system of ensuring and protecting human rights and freedoms a mechanism aimed at protecting the rights and interests of migrant workers and members of their families; to determine the compliance of national human rights mechanisms and procedures for this category of persons with the existing international (regional) analogues.
