This code uses a new form of Maxwell's harmonic equations. The model domain is a rectangular parallelepiped. The three-dimensional method of lowest-order finite differences is used for discretization. The chosen antenna model is a divergence-free electric current directed in the y direction. The convergence analysis for the code showed the same convergence rate as in the case without plasma. Numerical calculations of the parameters of the glow discharge plasma based on a globally averaged model were performed. Calculations were performed for argon. Iron, the main component of stainless steel, was taken as the cathode material. The dependences of the electron temperature and density, the density of sputtered iron atoms and iron ions, and the density of metastable argon atoms on the pressure and adsorbed power in the discharge were calculated. Experiments with a spark discharge for cleaning vacuum surfaces were conducted on the Uragan-2M stellarator. The experiments were conducted in the range of discharge currents from 0.025 to 1 A and working gas pressures of argon from 0.27 to 13.1 Pa. It was found that the measured current-voltage characteristics are similar to the hollow cathode discharge. The radial profile of the plasma density and electron temperature was measured using a moving triple probe. The mass spectrometric diagnostic complex on the Uragan-2M stellarator has been modernized. Two scenarios of vacuum surface cleaning using high-frequency (HF) discharge plasma in an argon atmosphere under a low magnetic field were investigated on the Uragan-2 M stellarator. Measurements showed a decrease in the partial pressure of water by ~ 50-51% after the vacuum surface cleaning procedure. The data of joint experiments on plasma creation using high-frequency discharges in the frequency range of an ion cyclotron, which were carried out on the Uragan-2M, LHD and W7-X stellarators Product Description popup.authors Volkova Yuliia Ye.
