Research objective: improvement of the steelmaking process, solution of the problems of overgrowing of the internal cavity of the immersed cups during continuous steel casting to increase their stability, reduction of the degree of slag content of scrap from 42 to 25%, reduction of the ingot volume, improvement of the quality of metallurgical technological processes, economic efficiency and environmental friendliness of metal products. Research methods and equipment: pouring of steel through the main part of the monoblock stopper and the receiving funnel of the tundish ladle cup-doser, slag processing on the AMCOM installation by dry magnetic separation, steelmaking in an electric arc furnace with the main lining, analysis of scientific, technical and patent literature. It has been proven that to prevent the growth of the tundish cup during continuous casting of steel, it is necessary to refine the steel from non-metallic inclusions formed during metal deoxidation. When casting modified metal, the number of growths of the tundish cups is significantly reduced. A necessary condition for modification is the optimal ratio of introduced aluminum and calcium, which ensures the production of inclusions with a low melting point. Scrap is a full-fledged alternative substitute for scrap in conditions of its shortage, but at the same time it is necessary to improve the quality of its preparation, given the high risk of returning previously removed sulfur back to the production process. Advantage - in economically developed countries, the rate of processing technogenic waste reaches 80-90%, in Ukraine only 10-15%, therefore this is an acute problem issue at the state level.
