An in-depth study of scientific sources highlighting the potential of GIS for supporting sustainable agricultural production was carried out. Comprehensive evidence of the social, economic and environmental feasibility of organic farming was collected, which became the basis for assessing the suitability of agricultural land using GIS tools. A number of agricultural enterprises in continental Ukraine were selected for practical testing. An integrated system of features that determine the suitability of land for organic production was created. An algorithm for selecting optimal land plots based on geodata was developed, which contributes to the formation of effective organic agricultural systems. The results of the study were reflected in scientific publications indexed in WOS/Scopus. The obtained developments are open for use by agricultural industry specialists, GIS analysts and researchers. The presented scientific product creates the basis for further development of methods for forecasting and managing agroecosystems using geoinformation technologies.
