The purpose of the work is to increase the efficiency of operation, maintenance and service of road construction machines and equipment. Both theoretical and experimental research methods were used in the work: testing of full-scale samples, theoretical description of work processes, modeling of active loads. The system of diagnostic parameters was substantiated when determining the technical condition of hydraulic drive elements of construction and road machines in diagnostic stands. Computer modeling of the stability of a tower crane was performed. The impact of maintaining the optimal bearing capacity of the lubricating film in the hydraulic drive of road construction machines on the efficiency of operation was substantiated. The dependence of bulk hardness on load during indentation of steel machine parts with a sphero-conical indenter in the nano- and micro-ranges has been established. Research has been conducted to determine the regularity of soil penetration by a cylindrical working body with an asymmetric tip. The methodology for calculating the main parameters of a short-wheelbase small-sized loader during operation on a construction site has been improved.
