popup.description1
Determination of wound healing and anti-inflammatory activity of extracts from Scots pine needles by conducting experimental pharmacological studies aimed at substantiating the prospects for their further use
popup.description2
The anti-inflammatory and wound-healing activity of the studied samples of extracts from Scots pine needles was evaluated. In the linear cut wound model, it was found that the use of extracts contributes to a significant reduction in the length of the wound and its healing time, exceeding the effectiveness of the standard comparison drug (Levomekol). The most pronounced reparative effect was demonstrated by Sample 2, which reduced the healing time by 50% compared to the control. In the trypsin inflammation model in rats, all samples showed anti-exudative activity, which was confirmed by a significant decrease in the increase in the volume of the affected limbs. The highest effect was found in Sample 2 (88.86% at 24 hours), which exceeded the effectiveness of ibuprofen. The practical value of the results lies in substantiating the possibility of creating new anti-inflammatory and reparative agents based on plant extracts, which are characterized by high efficiency and potential for clinical use.
