The total volume of the scientific work is 132 pages, of which the main text is 112 pages. The scientific novelty of the results obtained lies in the fact that within the framework of the study, new theoretical and practical results were obtained that are important for the development of the science of administrative law and the improvement of the activities of the National Police of Ukraine. In particular: the concept of preventive police activity was clarified; a systematic classification of subordinate regulatory legal acts that regulate the activities of prevention units was proposed, according to the criteria of their content and functional purpose (organizational-structural, procedural-functional, coordination-interactive); the concept of institutional principles of the functioning of preventive activity units, covering regulatory, organizational-structural, personnel and information-analytical components, was substantiated; gaps were identified in the legal regulation of the activities of individual prevention units, in particular those that carry out measures to protect public order, respond to patrol police, as well as prevent and combat domestic violence; conceptual directions for improving the administrative and legal support of preventive activities were developed, aimed at unifying the terminology, eliminating duplication of functions and strengthening interdepartmental interaction; the organizational and tactical model of the activities of prevention units was improved, which is based on a risk-oriented approach, analytical planning and proactive response to threats to public safety.
