The main elements of stevia breeding technology have been improved, in particular the criteria for selecting varieties depending on the propagation method. The selected variety and hybrid are characterized by disease resistance and stable yield, which averages 3–4 tons of dry leaves, with a diterpene glycoside content of 12–14%.
