The dominant traits of these samples were analyzed and identified. Parental pairs were selected. Based on the polycross test, the genetic value of breeding samples by traits was determined. Morphological and statistical data of 17 selected buckwheat lines were studied. Significant genetic variability was determined in the parameters of the length of the peduncle, plant architectonics and inflorescence structure. The effectiveness of selection for morphological and phenological traits was substantiated; the dynamics of sample productivity by year was determined. The obtained lines are recommended as donors of the trait of resistance to shedding for further breeding programs of intensive varieties suitable for mechanized harvesting.
