CORN, SUNFLOWER, PLANT PROTECTION, PESTICIDES, BIOPRODUCTS, HYBRIDS, BIOMETRIC INDICATORS, YIELD, QUALITY, ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY, ECOTOXICOLOGICAL INDICATORS, SOIL MICROBIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY. Object of research: ecological state of agrocenosis of corn and sunflower under different plant protection systems. Purpose of the task: to determine ecotoxicological risks that arise as a result of the use of modern plant protection systems when growing sunflower and corn in the conditions of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Research methods: field, visual; laboratory; methods of mathematical statistics. The results of studies on the impact of various corn protection systems on the phytosanitary state of the agrocenosis, yield and product quality are presented. The ecotoxicological indicators of corn protection systems are highlighted, which characterize the level of potential danger of the pesticides used for the components of the agroecosystem. The impact of soil and preventive herbicides in the Sumo technology on the growth and development of sunflower, the state of weediness and crop formation is established. The ecotoxicological characteristics of the preparations and the level of their danger to the agroecosystem are assessed. The feasibility of using the studied herbicides within the framework of environmentally safe sunflower protection systems is proven. Methodological recommendations on environmentally safe protection systems for growing sunflower and corn in the conditions of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine are developed.
