The following will be done: - the results of research on the return of lands damaged by hostilities to commodity production will be interpreted for the conditions of Ukraine; - proposals will be developed for optimizing conservation parameters, changing the direction of use, and phased restoration of lands; - a database will be formed on the chemical and granulometric composition of soils damaged by hostilities; - approaches will be developed to reduce the migration rates of harmful substances through the introduction of forest and land reclamation measures; - the results of assessing the biological activity of toxic substances, in particular the migration of heavy metals in the "soil - plant - harvest" system, will be described. popup.description2 Using the patented sample selection method, a database was created containing indicators of metal and metalloid content from 218 soil samples with various types of damage. The gross content of most controlled elements is determined by the features of soil-forming processes and the previous conditions of arable land use. The most significant excesses in the background indicators were observed for Zn, Pb, Cu, and Cr at sites of combustion of military equipment. The decrease in the share of agronomically valuable chernozem structure when hit by ammunition (guided aerial bomb, MLRS) is 3-5%. The share of small aggregates (<0.25 mm) increases by 10-20% in areas of thermal impact (damage from shaheed, burnt equipment). A reduced structural index characterises these affected areas. A scheme of forest improvement measures to reduce the rate of migration of harmful substances has been developed. A forest reclamation framework was formed for the research region, which regulates: types of plantations; detailed species composition of trees, shrubs and perennial grasses; principles of placement in the landscape; mechanisms integration into community strategies and comprehensive spatial development plans through strategic environmental assessment. In cases of insignificant changes in the concentration of controlled elements and the structure of the soil in places of combat damage, a transitional period is proposed with the following: Removal of the upper (burnt) layer of soil and carrying out works according to the capital planning scheme of the field Formation of a specialised crop rotation from crops (varieties) resistant to the accumulation of heavy metals or technical crops whose harvest undergoes deep processing Implementation of an optimised (for crop rotation conditions) application system of mineral fertilisers and meliorants aimed at reducing the concentration of mobile forms of metals Rejection of foliar fertilisation with complex fertilisers containing EDTA Product Description popup.authors Elina A.
