Epizootological, clinical, bacteriological, biological, molecular genetic research methods will be used to implement the project. popup.description2 The sensitivity of E.coli bacteria was monitored in 30 pig farms of various capacities and regions of Ukraine. The sensitivity of the studied E.coli to antibacterial drugs ranged from 7.2% to 87.5%, and in the period from 2013 to 2021 it already ranged from 7.7% to 30.4%. This trend complicates the choice of means of treating bacterial infections in animals and methods of their control, and also increases the threat of the appearance of such bacteria in human food and contributes to their further circulation in nature. A study of the effect of bacteriophage drugs for the treatment of animal bacteriosis, as an alternative or reduction of exclusively antibiotic therapy, was conducted in 5 livestock farms in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Volyn regions. Groups of cows with mastitis were treated with antibiotics, antibiotics in combination with bacteriophages, and only bacteriophages. When using antibiotics, mastitis was not detected after therapy in 0% to 7.12% of sick cows, when using antibiotics and bacteriophages in combination, from 50.00% to 100.00% of animals, and when treating exclusively with bacteriophages - also from 50.00% to 100.00% of animals. Thus, the effectiveness of treatment with bacteriophages and in combination with antibiotics has been proven. Research continues. A Concept of using alternative antibiotic therapy for the treatment and prevention of bacterial diseases of animals and poultry has been developed, which has been approved by the Scientific and Methodological Council and approved by the Academic Council of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences.
