Peculiarities of formation and functioning of parasitocenoses, religious and microbiocenoses in ecosystems of water bodies of national importance and in the conditions of freshwater aquaculture enterprises will be determined. The biochemical properties of the isolated microorganisms will be studied. The selected organisms will be identified and their pathogenicity for aquatic organisms will be established. popup.description2 Comprehensive ichthyopathological studies conducted in 2021–2025 in freshwater water bodies of Ukraine revealed a high prevalence of infectious and invasive fish diseases and a complex structure of microbio- and parasitocenoses formed under the influence of environmental and anthropogenic factors. Parasitic invasions were found to dominate, primarily monogenean infections, protozoan diseases, and crustacean infestations, along with the stable circulation of opportunistic pathogenic bacteria, particularly of the genus Aeromonas. The detection of parasites new to Ukrainian aquaculture and associated bacterial infections indicates increasing epizootic risks. Despite the limited representativeness of the material due to military actions, the obtained data reflect general trends toward the deterioration of the ichthyopathological status of certain water bodies. This substantiates the need to improve monitoring systems, develop predictive approaches, and implement integrated management measures to ensure ichthyopathological safety in freshwater aquaculture in Ukraine.
