The study object was soybean, breeding of new varieties. The purpose was to create early-ripening, high-yielding, adapted to adverse environmental factors soybean grain varieties, with top-quality raw materials, by hybridization. The breeding method was interspecific hybridization with subsequent multiple individual selections. Theoretical and practical results are as follows: many-year experience in soybean breeding was implemented in scientific and methodological guidelines "Use of New Starting Materials for Breeding Highly Productive, Adapted to Adverse Environmental Factors Soybean Varieties with High Seed Quality." The scientific and methodological guidelines are recommended for scientists, breeders, postgraduate students, students of specialised universities and specialists in agro-industrial production. A working collection of domestic soybeans with valuable economic and morphological characteristics has been formed. The collection comprises 59 specimens and is recommended for the creation of new breeding materials with sets of valuable breeding characteristics and new early-ripening, high-yielding soybean varieties with increased abiotic potential. This development is recommended for implementation in state and private breeding institutions, research and educational organisations. Four grain soybean varieties (‘Svitlytsia’, ‘Volonterka’, ‘IR Zastava’, and ‘IR Lileia’) with combinations of valuable economic characteristics to meet various market needs have been created. The new soybean varieties are at the level of the best world and domestic analogues, fully meet the requirements of current agricultural production and can be used in the livestock, processing and food industries.
