The project goal was to reveal the genetic potential and donor capacities of corn lines, to expand the diversity of corn germplasm to create highly productivehybrids combining yield stability with top quality of products intended for different purposes. The methodsincluded field, laboratory, analytical and statistical tests. Theoretical and practical results. A collection of corn genetic resources was formed; the collection consists of 7,069 corn accessions, including 584 cultivars, 602 landraces, 5,171 self-pollinated lines, 479 genetic lines, and 233 specimens of synthetic populations. The genetic value of new self-pollinated corn lines was evaluated for valuable economiccharacteristics, identifying traits and top quality of products intended for different purposes. Two working and two special collections and 24 corn lines were registered as sources and donors of valuable economic characteristics. Novelty. Corn accessions were systematized by a set of traits; sources of strongly expressed traits adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine were identified; references of expression levels were selected, and working and special collections of corn with wide adaptive capacities were created on this basis; the information system for selecting starting materials from the genetic diversity of corn was improved. Effectiveness of implementation. The formed collections will be recommended for use in breeding programs for heterosis breeding of corn, scientific and educational studies. Due to the expanded corn gene pool, the breedingefficiency will be raised, and the range of use in the food industry will be expanded. Field of use. Scientific, breeding and educational programs.
