The relevance of GDR is to enrich the genetic diversity of plant collections with new crops and study them under irrigation; selection of valuable genotypes as a result of many years of research and their use in the creation of new varieties, the uniqueness of informative material for breeders-scientists. The purpose of the project is to enrich the collections with genetic diversity of plant samples of world practice, created by selection, obtained in scientific expeditions, in-depth research and keeping them in a state of authenticity in the conditions of irrigation in the south of Ukraine. R&D tasks: - to replenish the collection of the gene pool of plants of the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture with new samples, to select varieties-standards of cotton by groups of maturity and productivity; - scientifically substantiate the assessment of collection samples of vegetable soybeans; - to study the collection samples of soybean vegetable plants in order to form a working feature collection; - to identify sources of economically valuable traits from the collections of the plant gene pool of the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of NAAS for use in science and industry; - to scientifically substantiate the study of a set of features of genetic diversity of guar in order to form a training collection. Implementation of the project will ensure a positive result - enrichment of the gene pool of guar plants, soybeans, cotton, alfalfa, sainfoin studied new introduced samples, replenishment of information databases, selection popup.description2 A set of scientific researches aimed at the formation, evaluation and use of the gene pool of agricultural crops for breeding and production in the conditions of irrigation of the Southern Steppe of Ukraine was carried out. Information databases of samples of alfalfa, cotton, soybean and guar were created and systematized according to economically valuable characteristics, in particular drought resistance, early maturity, productivity and crop quality.
