The relevance of the research is determined by the need to move from traditional waste management approaches to integrated systems based on the principles of sustainable development, circular economy, minimization of landfilling, and maximum involvement of secondary resources in economic circulation. The aim of the work is to develop the scientific foundations for the management and utilization of solid waste, as well as to study the processes of their generation, processing, and optimal use in order to reduce negative impacts on the natural environment. To achieve this aim, the study provides for an analysis of the current state of solid waste management systems, an examination of regulatory and legal frameworks in this field, and the identification of priority directions for improving technologies and organizational approaches. The scientific concept of the work lies in combining environmental, technological, and economic approaches to solid waste management based on systems analysis. The hypothesis assumes that the implementation of an integrated waste management system prioritizing waste prevention, reuse, and recycling will ensure a significant reduction of negative environmental impacts while simultaneously engaging secondary resources in the economy. The results of the work may be used by local self-government bodies, public utility enterprises, and environmental authorities in developing programs and strategies in the field of solid waste management.
