Purpose of the study: to develop the theory and methodology of national economic security at the macro- and microeconomic levels, and to identify the determinants of its formation that are imperative in nature and define the economy’s resilience to internal and external threats. Object of the study: the processes of functioning of Ukraine’s economic system at the macro- and microeconomic levels under contemporary threats and destabilizing factors. Subject of the study: theoretical, methodological, and applied foundations for the formation of economic security imperatives of Ukraine, as well as the instruments and mechanisms for their implementation under current threats and challenges. Research methods: systemic and structural, comparative, problem-oriented and logical, structural and functional, economic and statistical methods, and mathematical modeling. Results obtained: the investment and innovation imperative of national economic security has been substantiated. It forms an integrated model of macro- and micro-level determinants of the resilience of the economic system and defines a methodological framework for differentiated assessment of security risks and effective mechanisms for their neutralization. The obtained results deepen the toolkit for ensuring macro- and microeconomic resilience of the economic system by providing synergy between its investment and innovation potentials and by integrating financial, infrastructural, and institutional determinants of national competitiveness.
