The goal of the second stage is to determine the requirements for target Earth remote sensing products for solving specific applied problems and, on this basis, to determine the composition, properties, and requirements for the dynamics of small ERS satellite constellations; to develop algorithms for selecting ERS satellite orbits and to analyze possible configurations of small ERS satellite constellations for solving the applied problems. Research methods – astrodynamics and space flight mechanics, computational mathematics, information and analytical methods. The following results were obtained. The tasks of agriculture and forestry that are relevant for Ukraine have been identified, for which methods of remote sensing of the Earth from space are used. Requirements have been developed for the Earth remote sensing data complex (in particular, spatial resolution, imaging frequency, and swath width) necessary to solve the tasks of agriculture and forestry. Algorithms for selecting ERS satellite orbits have been developed, and the composition, properties, and requirements for the dynamics of possible configurations of small ERS satellite constellations have been determined to solve the applied tasks. The orbital characteristics of the ICEYE satellite constellation, the technical properties of the satellites, and the features of trajectory planning and distribution of satellite imaging zones have been determined. Assessments of data acquisition efficiency, coverage area, and imaging frequency for typical ICEYE satellite constellation configurations have been carried out. Scope of application is space research and dynamics of space systems. Results of the work will be used in the continuation of work on the topic and can be used in the design of missions for small ERS satellite constellations to solve the applied problems.
