The purpose of the work is to reduce energy consumption, increase productivity and quality of performing the technological operation of digging up seedlings in a nursery grown on vegetative rootstocks by developing a prototype of a digging plow with better characteristics compared to existing ones. Research methods are modeling, experiment, analysis, synthesis. The current state of existing mechanization tools has been analyzed. A technical task has been developed for the development of design documentation. Design documentation has been developed and a prototype of a machine for digging up seedlings grown on vegetative rootstocks in a nursery has been manufactured. The machine is made in a hinged version. Its main structural elements are: a frame, a working body, support wheels and a mechanism for driving the working body into oscillatory motion. The mass of the machine is about 0.30 t. The implementation of the developed machine will increase the productivity and efficiency of the technological operation, which will contribute to reducing the cost of production.
