Studies completed over the five-year period (2021-2025) that are of practical importance: - modification of traditional methods of evaluation and selection of breeding material in optimal combination with biotechnological methods of obtaining doubled haploids and molecular genetic control of traits increases the efficiency of the breeding process by 20-25%; - creating genetic diversity of hybrid material with the participation of Western European varieties enhances the effect of resistance to rust diseases, increasing grain productivity under conditions of sufficient moisture, but reduces resistance to hard soot and drought resistance. - 15 varieties of winter soft wheat of universal type were created, 11 of which, by the time of the end of the state examination, were already included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. They have progressively increased characteristics and fully meet the requirements of modern production and climate changes in the South of Ukraine.
