The purpose of the work is to increase the efficiency of the process of recycling the underground part (stump and its core) of fruit plantations, the quality of work when laying and updating modern intensive-type orchards by creating a universal machine for crushing stumps and digging planting holes, developing an environmentally safe and resource-saving technology based on it. Research methods are analytical methods and research and development work. Engineering calculations, processing and analysis of research results were performed using mathematical statistics methods. The report presents a structural diagram, the principle of operation of the machine, the methodology and results of experimental research, as well as conclusions. The work was carried out with the participation of employees of the technological departments of the Institute of Horticulture. The research results can be used by scientific institutions, horticultural farms and machine-building enterprises. The use of this machine raises the level of mechanization of work in the industry and eliminates heavy manual labor to replace dead or low-yielding trees in fruit-bearing plantations, which meets modern environmental and resource-saving requirements.
