An improved methodology for determining the spatial heterogeneity of radionuclide contamination in forest stands has been developed, taking into account the specific features of the soil–vegetation cover of the Polissia region and the biogeochemical properties of dominant tree species. A new approach to identifying indicator sites of increased radiation risk has been proposed based on integrated indicators of ¹³⁷Cs and ⁹⁰Sr migration within the soil–plant–forest litter system. For the first time, the applicability of adaptive models for forecasting the dynamics of radioactive contamination has been substantiated, enabling the development of scientifically grounded recommendations for environmentally safe forest management and minimisation of radiation risks for workers and the local population. Obtained scientific results During the implementation of the research, scientifically substantiated data on the levels and spatial distribution of radionuclide contamination (¹³⁷Cs and ⁹⁰Sr) in the forest ecosystems of the Subsidiary Enterprise “Korosten Forestry Agro-Industrial Complex” were obtained.
