NATURAL ZIRCONAS, INFRARED AND OPTICAL SPECTRA, PHOTOLUMINESCENCE, METAMICTICITY, ISOMORPHISM, ON-GROUPS The object of the study is natural zircons. The photoluminescence (PL) and infrared (IR) spectra of a large number of zircon samples from Precambrian rocks of igneous and metasomatic complexes of the Ukrainian Shield, different in age, spatial location and belonging to different blocks, were studied. It was established that such zircons can significantly differ in spectroscopic parameters, which are associated with the conditions of their formation and subsequent post-crystallization effects. A detailed comparative analysis of the obtained results showed significant differences in the PL and IR spectroscopic parameters of zircon from rocks of Precambrian massifs of alkaline-ultrabasic and gabbro-syenite (with nepheline) formations of the UShch on the one hand and gabbro-syenite (with quartz) on the other. Most of the absorption bands in the optical spectra of the studied zircons from kimberlites, spatially related carbonatites and placer deposits have a complex radiation nature and are due to electronic transitions in paramagnetic centers that arise at various structural defects.
