Based on the observations, the best collection and selection numbers of soybean tolerant to sharp temperature fluctuations, drought and heat were identified. Biochemical analysis of seeds from the 2023–2024 harvest was carried out. Based on the results of protein content analysis, 10 lines and 4 varieties were selected: Vasylkivska (Ukraine, PBGI), Aurelina (Austria), Maxus and Kyoto (Canada), in which the protein content exceeded 48% on an absolutely dry basis. On average over two years, Evridika (PBGI) stood out with an increased protein content of 44.7%, Vasylkivska (PBGI) and Romashka (Institute of Agriculture of the Steppe) with 44.61% each, as well as breeding line 502/24 (105/18) – 44.7%, although according to the results of 2021–2024, this line lost its leadership to number 101/24 (111/18) – 43.6 and 44.1% respectively, compared to 41.0% for the standard Siaivo. The average oil content in seeds ranged from 19.33 to 22.27%, compared to 21.5% in the standard. The average content of trypsin inhibitors was lowest in lines 107/24 (18.07 g/kg), 501/24 (19.43 g/kg) and 515/24 (20.79 g/kg), while in other varieties and lines this indicator ranged from 22.69 to 55.63 g/kg. The selected varieties and lines will be used in further work as parental forms for the creation of new soybean breeding material with improved biochemical indicators. Over the two years of the research programme, five lines showed above-standard yields: 508/25 – by 108.3%, 102/25 – by 87.5%, 103/25 and 101/25 – by 56.3%, 516/25 – by 35.4%. Line 101/25 exceeded the standard yield by 55.2% on average in 2021–2025 and is a candidate variety for transfer to state variety testing in the coming years. A new high-yielding, drought-resistant soybean variety with increased protein content, Kometa, is being submitted for state variety testing.
