Substantiation of the patterns of introgression with the involvement wild soybean species in hybridization in order to expand polymorphism and to identify potential sources and donors of economically valuable traits. popup.description2 During the research, the features of variability and inheritance of morphological and economically valuable traits of soybean in interspecific and intraspecific crosses were established to expand the gene pool of cultivated soybean, interspecific and intervarietal hybrids were obtained, which are included in the breeding process for their study and creation of new high-quality varieties. The patterns of introgression were substantiated and wild soybean species were involved in hybridization in order to expand polymorphism and identify potential sources and donors of economically valuable traits. In 2021-2025, about 7,000 numbers were studied, soybean hybridization was carried out in 97 combinations, hybrid beans were obtained in 88 combinations, 2,176 genotypes from 284 combinations were evaluated, from which combinations with high economically valuable traits were isolated and 5,076 genotypes from 173 combinations were selected. Seven varieties of cultivated soybeans for grain use have been submitted to the State Variety Testing, of which 4 varieties of cultivated soybeans have already been included into the State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Distribution in Ukraine, and 3 more are undergoing the State Variety Testing.
